- REPORT: NINERS WR CRABTREE ALREADY HAS ACHILLES SURGERY, OUT SIX MONTHS -A few hours ago we reported that 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree tore his Achilles tendon on Tuesday.
Now Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that Crabtree has already… had his surgery today and is expected to miss about six months to recover. That would put his return in late November, around Week 12 of the regular season.
Unfortunately for the 49ers, the loss of Crabtree is a huge blow to their offense. But for Crabtree it’s a bigger blow because he was expected to get a contract extension offer after this season from the 49ers. He is due to hit the unrestricted free agent market in 2014.
With Crabtree out for most of the season, the 49ers will need the newly acquired Anquan Boldin and last year’s No. 2 receiver, Mario Manningham, to step up. They’ll also need some production out of last year’s first-round draft pick, A.J. Jenkins, who did nothing as a rookie, and from this year’s fourth-round draft pick, Quinton Patton.
In his gigantic body of work, Arno Rafael Minkkinen uses the human body in a truly ingenious way. Instead of the person being the center of focus, Arno cleverly aligns parts of the human body seamlessly with the rest of the picture.

One year ago today, the Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリ) officially opened to the public. Standing 634 meters (2,080 feet), the Skytree is the tallest tower and the second largest structure in the world. The Skytree took four years to build and in the last year alone over 6.3 million people visited the tower—many capturing the experience on Instagram.
